About The Position

We are seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the design, implementation, and sustainment of secure mission systems. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, security professionals, and ket stakeholders to ensure systems meet security requirements throughout their lifecycle. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys integrating security into system architecture, supporting authorization activities, and strengthening the resilience of enterprise and mission platforms.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting information assurance, cybersecurity engineering, or system security efforts
  • Experience supporting system security authorization processes within government or classified environments
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, risk management practices, and lifecycle security integration
  • Experience developing or maintaining security documentation and compliance artifacts
  • Understanding of network, system, and application security principles
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively across technical teams and stakeholder organizations
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Access (TS/SCI)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or DoD mission environments
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and security control implementation
  • Experience supporting continuous monitoring or vulnerability management programs
  • Knowledge of secure cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
  • Security certification such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent
  • Experience collaborating with system architects, developers, or platform engineers on secure system design

Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of security requirements into system architecture, design, and implementation activities
  • Assist with system authorization and accreditation efforts across development and operational environments
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including system security plans and supporting artifacts
  • Conduct security control assessments and support remediation planning activities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement secure configurations and best practices
  • Support vulnerability identification, tracking, and mitigation activities
  • Participate in risk assessments and recommend appropriate security controls
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain compliance with applicable security policies and standards
  • Contribute to continuous monitoring and ongoing security posture improvement efforts
