Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support our customer onsite in Annapolis Junction. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise security architecture aligned with NIST RMF, DoD STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and organizational cybersecurity policies. The role involves performing security engineering activities across the system development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system design reviews, security testing, and accreditation support. The ISSE will implement vulnerability management processes, integrate cybersecurity requirements into various environments, and support incident response. Automation scripting, collaboration with other teams, and security impact analysis are also key aspects of the position. The role also includes engineering endpoint protection and hardening solutions, evaluating cybersecurity tools, and producing technical security documentation. Experience with CyberArk core modules, monitoring cyber events, coordinating security toolsets, and establishing cyber risk frameworks is required. The ISSE will determine security requirements, implement security systems, verify security systems, and maintain security through monitoring and training. The position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components, ensuring that development and operational systems are functional and secure.
