Seeking a self-starting, motivated individual to assist the Lead Information System Security Officer supporting the Alpha+1 level with System Security Plans (SSPs). The individual will also be responsible for helping address security related issues with Software Development Engineers (SDE) and Systems Engineers (SE) building customer lab environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant Information security/Information assurance experience or equivalent.
  • Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 certification (CAP (now CGRC), GSLC, Security+ CE, and SSCP).
  • Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance to be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of customer corporate tools and data repositories.
  • Experience with general Windows office software (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external customers to complete required government paperwork and processes related to information system security.
  • Assist the government customer with answering information system security-related questions and perform regular audits of information systems.
  • Understand STE/STN requirements and have experience applying the principles of the NIST 800-53 to include the procedures in the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Must have experience with Defense-In-Depth principles, networks and enterprise security architecture.
