About The Position

The Information Systems Security Developer (ISSD) is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and validating cybersecurity solutions that ensure the secure architecture, configuration, and operation of a mission system platform. This role integrates security requirements throughout the system lifecycle and supports compliance with JSIG, RMF, and other DoW cybersecurity standards. The ISSD supports technical security assessments, develops cybersecurity artifacts, and ensures continuous monitoring to maintain the platform’s cyber readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience with 5 years of specific experience supporting DoW Cyber/ Information Systems Security
  • Required certification: CISSP or equivalent (SecurityX/CCNP/GCED/CCSP/CISM/GSLC)
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with DoW Cybersecurity policy or equivalent
  • Understanding of the system certification process
  • Experience with information assurance risk assessments
  • Understanding of information security principles, DoW STIGs and A&A processes for systems
  • Experience performing Risk Management Framework tasks in classified environments
  • MUST HAVE A CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI ELIGIBLE SECURITY CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.

Nice To Haves

  • MS in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree.
  • Experience with the following tools: Splunk, ACAS, Evaluate_STIG, STIG Viewer, eMASS / eMASSter, CVSS Calculator, Jira, Confluence, Mattermost
  • Evaluating security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies for networked and non-networked systems
  • Experience performing cybersecurity within an Agile workflow
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
