Information Systems Engineers participates in the design, operation, and maintenance of Boise Cascade’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures functionality and reliability of a wide range of hardware and software platforms, leads projects, and works with a team of professionals to support organizational goals.

Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function.
  • Working conditions are an office environment with minimal physical exertion.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically more than three (3) years of experience in related job function.
  • May require professional certification.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure network reliability, performance, and security, proactively monitoring and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate on IT related projects, upgrades, and expansions to support business growth.
  • Perform incident response and root cause analysis for system outages.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of wired and wireless networks.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain hardware and hardware configurations including access points, handheld scanners, tablets, printers, and security cameras.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including topology diagrams, configuration standards, IP address management, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold industrial environments where PPE is required.
  • Operate boom lifts and be comfortable working at heights.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Travel 25%.
