About The Position

Tripoint Solutions is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide cybersecurity and information assurance support for program information systems. The ISSO will lead day-to-day RMF, ATO, security compliance, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity documentation activities while coordinating with system owners, ISSM, technical teams, assessors, and other stakeholders. This is a remote position, but the selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, one of the states supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA. No relocation assistance is provided. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship is required. An Active Secret clearance is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field; or equivalent education, certifications, and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, RMF, ATO, vulnerability management, or information systems security.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CCISO, or CISSP-ISSMP.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the RMF/ATO lifecycle and maintaining authorization packages.
  • Hands-on experience with eMASS and RMF security artifacts.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, security assessments, STIG compliance, and remediation tracking.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet applicable DoD 8140/DCWF certification or qualification requirements for the assigned role.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Army, USACE, federal, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience as the sole or primary ISSO/ISSM or cybersecurity resource for a program.
  • Experience with NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-37.
  • Experience with cloud, hybrid, enterprise, or mission-support information systems.
  • Experience with cybersecurity metrics, dashboards, vulnerability scanning, and compliance tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the RMF and ATO lifecycle, including authorization, renewals, significant changes, and continuous monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain RMF/ATO documentation, security controls, assessment evidence, POA&Ms, and other cybersecurity artifacts in eMASS.
  • Coordinate security-control implementation, assessments, evidence collection, findings, and remediation activities.
  • Support vulnerability management, security scanning, STIG compliance, configuration management, and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate system and architectural changes for cybersecurity and RMF/ATO impact.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security documentation.
  • Communicate cybersecurity risks, compliance status, and remediation priorities to technical teams and leadership.
  • Support cybersecurity inspections, audits, assessments, and incident-response activities as required.
