About The Position
The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will be responsible for ensuring the security of information systems within the federal government environment. This role requires a high level of expertise in federal government security practices and policies, including FISMA and NIST Special Publications 800 series. The ISSO will work independently and collaboratively with various technical teams to maintain and enhance system security.
Requirements
- Top secret security clearance
- 10+ years of experience as ISSO or related experience
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
- Experience working as an ISSO in the Federal Government environment.
- Knowledge of Federal Government SA&A practices and policies, particularly FISMA and NIST Special Publications 800 series.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification, GIAC Enterprise Vulnerability Assessor, or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is highly preferred.
- Industry-recognized and accepted certifications relating to Project Management preferred (Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred for project or program managers.
