About The Position

The Information System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining server and datacenter infrastructure, including hardware, software, and virtualization platforms. This role involves managing operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization technologies (Citrix, VMware), cloud services (Azure), databases (SQL), and storage/backup solutions (Pure, Cohesity, Veeam). The engineer ensures secure, high-performing systems through configuration, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. They also lead knowledge sharing among peers and participate in an on-call rotation, including after-hours support, to maintain system availability and performance.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (6 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree in addition to experience below)
  • 6 years relevant work experience and software experience: Azure, Enterprise virtualization solutions, Microsoft Server OS, Cisco UCS, Storage and Backup operations, Datacenter operations.
  • Demonstrated success designing, configuring, and supporting server infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems in large-scale server infrastructure implementations.
  • Demonstrated success translating business needs into operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring and teaching others on Server Infrastructure technologies management.

Nice To Haves

  • Azure Administrator, Citrix Certified Professional, VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent certification(s)

Responsibilities
