Position Overview: The Information Security Specialist supports the organization's cybersecurity program by monitoring security tools, assisting with vulnerability identification, documenting incidents, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Under the guidance of senior staff, this role helps ensure compliance, strengthens security awareness, and supports the ongoing protection of member and organizational data.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
0-2 years of experience in Information Security or a related IT role.
A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
Interest in cybersecurity, risk management, and protecting sensitive information.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Live and promote the Kohler Credit Union Mission, Vision, and Values within the organization and community.
Be a go-to resource for information security questions and requests.
Monitor security alerts and help track and resolve incidents.
Support email security tools and phishing awareness efforts to help protect employees and members.
Assist with access reviews, building security coordination, and other physical security processes.
Help review security and audit reports and track follow-up actions.
Support mobile device security controls to ensure devices remain compliant and protected.
Contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance the overall security experience.
Assist with new technology rollouts and security-related projects
