Requirements

  • One year as an Information Security Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Three years of experience performing technical work in information technology security, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or One year of experience performing technical work in information technology security, and a bachelor’s degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Three or more years of full-time professional experience with zero trust network architecture administration.
  • Three or more years of full-time professional experience with firewall administration.
  • Possession of a CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Submission of criminal history reports.
  • Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain security policies for firewalls, intrusion prevention tools, and remote access systems
  • Oversee security operations infrastructure for new facilities and ensure reliable ongoing support
  • Lead investigations of security violations and coordinate actions using established response procedures
  • Administer and monitor firewalls, operating systems, and security software to maintain protection and stability
  • Collaborate with agencies and teams to review access requirements and assist with developing enterprise security policies
  • Test, document, and evaluate network access measures to ensure alignment with standards and requirements
