About The Position

Farmers is seeking curious, passionate, and hard-working students from information security academic fields to partake in our paid summer internship program. As an Information Security Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain hands-on experience using information security tools and processes to secure the business. This is a full-time, 40-hour-a-week, paid, 10-12-week summer internship. You will develop crucial and highly valuable information security skills as well as soft skills through the course of your internship. This is an opportunity to work alongside accomplished professionals and gain valuable skills for your future. Additionally, you will learn how we use innovation and technology to secure our business through job shadowing, hands-on work experience, and project work to expand your knowledge and education.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of cyber security concepts (e.g., threats, vulnerabilities, CIA triad)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
Eagerness to learn and work in a team environment

Responsibilities

Assist in building and testing low-code or no-code security automations to support common information security processes.
Support development and refinement of AI-assisted agents to support information security initiatives.
Assist with identity and access management (IAM) tasks, including SSO integrations.
Assist with network security and application security tasks, including firewall, API security, and web application firewall tasks.
