About The Position
Lam Research is seeking an Information Security Engineer to support the engineering, implementation, and ongoing operation of enterprise security platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving security tooling to strengthen the organization’s detection, prevention, and response capabilities. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including security operations, infrastructure, and IT, to ensure tools are effectively deployed, configured, and aligned with security standards.
Requirements
- Foundational experience in Information Security Engineering and security tools/platforms
- Hands-on experience with one or more security domains (e.g., endpoint, identity, network, or cloud security)
- Understanding of core security concepts such as access control, endpoint protection, and threat detection
- Familiarity with integrating security tools with supporting platforms (e.g., endpoint management, logging, SIEM/SOAR)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities
- Support the engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management of assigned security tools and platforms
- Maintain and optimize tool configurations in alignment with security standards and industry best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of detection, prevention, and response capabilities
- Assist in identifying and remediating configuration gaps, coverage issues, and security findings
- Participate in security reviews and provide input on architecture and design decisions
- Support development of operational metrics and reporting to track tool effectiveness and security posture
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., SOC, IT, cloud, infrastructure) to drive alignment and integration
- Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures
