About The Position

Lam Research is seeking an Information Security Engineer to support the engineering, implementation, and ongoing operation of enterprise security platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing security tools to strengthen the organization's detection, prevention, and response capabilities. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Security Operations, Infrastructure, and IT, to ensure security solutions are effectively deployed, properly configured, and aligned with organizational security standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a Master's degree; 3 years with a PhD; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an Information Security or IT Engineering role.
  • Foundational experience in Information Security Engineering and security tools/platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more security domains, including endpoint security, identity security, network security, cloud security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), email security, or Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
  • Experience with one or more of the following security tools: Microsoft Defender for Identity (MDI), Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Purview, Netskope, Palo Alto Networks solutions, Imperva, Microsoft Intune, Perception Point (FortiMail), or Security Copilot.
  • Basic understanding of identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, and access management principles.
  • Strong understanding of core security concepts, including access control, endpoint protection, threat detection, and security monitoring.
  • Experience supporting, administering, or operating enterprise security tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with integrating security tools with supporting platforms, such as endpoint management solutions, logging platforms, and SIEM/SOAR technologies.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management practices, risk assessment methodologies, and remediation workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant industry certifications are preferred, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Support the engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management of assigned security tools and platforms; Silverfort experience is preferred.
  • Maintain and optimize tool configurations in alignment with security standards and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of detection, prevention, and response capabilities.
  • Assist in identifying and remediating configuration gaps, coverage issues, and security findings.
  • Participate in security reviews and provide input on architecture and design decisions.
  • Support the development of operational metrics and reporting to measure tool effectiveness and overall security posture.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Security Operations (SOC), IT, Cloud, and Infrastructure, to drive alignment and integration.
  • Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
