About The Position

Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors’ North American electric vehicle applications. Ultium Cells’ partners include LG Energy Solution, Ltd.; the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells, and General Motors; a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around. This job has a primary responsibility of being a Physical Security Specialist with a focus on manufacturing environments, working within our Information Security Department. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the physical security of our manufacturing facilities, equipment, and personnel. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of security practices. This position will also aid the Information Security Department with tasks that include Security Awareness and Training, Incident response, compliance, and Policy/Procedure creation and reviews.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of various security compliance frameworks with the ability to learn about NCT Compliance, ISO 27001 and various NIST guidelines.
  • Ability to work with outsourced vendors and global Information Security resources
  • Self-Directed and ability to work in a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to solve problems by proactively collaborating with cross-functional teams on issues
  • The willingness and ability to work flexible hours occasionally to support team
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills
  • Bilingual skills, writing and speaking, in English and Korean (preferred)
  • Passion, Sustainability, Self-motivation, Professional and Positive Attitude
  • Strong desire to learn and be flexible.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security or similar field (preferred)
  • 1-3 Year experience in information security as well as experiences detailed below, preferred.
  • Information Security Planning & Operation Management experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement physical security policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with industry standards and best practices
  • Conduct regular Physical security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate corrective actions
  • Manage access control systems, surveillance cameras, and other security infrastructure
  • Coordinate with our site security team in order to respond effectively to security incidents and emergencies
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on physical security best practices and procedures
  • Regular Management of internal Information Security Polices, Standards, Procedures and Template
  • Participate in incident response activities and investigations related to physical security breaches or incidents
  • Communicate with the Headquarter Information Security Department about business site information security
  • Support for implementation of new IT security systems such as badge readers and CCTV cameras
