About The Position

This is an onsite position for RTP, North Carolina, US. The successful candidate will be performing work on U.S. Government classified environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. citizen, as defined and verifiable in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM, using acceptable documentary evidence of U.S. citizenship. Government Security Services (GSS) is looking for a Data Center Engineer to work in several secure environments to build, deploy, and support mission crucial networks. This candidate must have a TS/SCI with Counter Intelligence Polygraph. The successful candidate will work closely with a team supporting our government customers by delivering innovative and compliant technical solutions tailored to their critically important needs. This role involves providing day-to-day customer service to end users within the facility and ensuring flawless network operations.

Requirements

  • DoD 8570 level III certification or DoD 8140 equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux and Windows systems and how they interact in the computing environment on the network.
  • Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience with VMWare's vSphere virtualization suite
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a TS/SCI with Counter Intelligence Polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Centralized Logging Products (Splunk, etc.).
  • Experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator
  • Experienced in Linux and Windows systems and how they interact in the computing environment on the network.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and network redundancy strategies

  • Serving as the primary engineering resource for a customer base of 20-30 users, addressing their technical needs and ensuring efficient network performance.
