About The Position

OUCU Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Information Security Analyst to help protect our credit union’s information systems, member data, and technology environment. This role supports key cybersecurity initiatives, assists with security awareness efforts, and works closely with management to ensure data security controls and compliance requirements are effectively implemented. The minimum starting pay for this position is $22.73 per hour, with relevant education and experience considered in determining the starting pay rate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Security+ certification is required. Candidates with certification in progress will be considered with the understanding it must be completed prior to hire date.
  • At least one year experience in technical support and/or information security.
  • Foundational knowledge of information security concepts and controls.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management, patching, and security monitoring platforms required.
  • Interviews will be conducted in person in Athens, Ohio. Candidate will be required to be in branch for initial onboarding and training.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security tools (Defender, Purview, E5) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and responding to daily security alerts and tickets.
  • Supporting periodic reviews such as user access, password management, and security audits.
  • Assisting with vulnerability management, patching, and research into emerging threats.
  • Develop and maintain security awareness programs, contests, and employee training sessions.
  • Support vendor security reviews, questionnaires, due diligence requests, and ongoing third-party risk documentation.
  • Provide support for employee device compliance, encryption, and secure access.
