About The Position

Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS) is seeking individuals to support the Department of Energy (DOE) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as part of their staff augmentation team. Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a government contractor, and will take day-to-day directions from technical personnel at the research laboratory. AIS provides pay, benefits, and HR functions. Qualified applicants must be US citizens, at least 18 years old, and meet pre-employment requirements including physicals, drug screens, and background investigations for DOE clearance.

Requirements

BS Degree and 20+ years' experience or MS Degree with 19+ years' experience.
Must be a DOE Certified Classified/Reviewing Official (DC/RO).
Must possess a DOE Q Clearance.
Must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age.
Must meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the DOE.

Responsibilities

Support the Information Release Office (IRO) by reviewing records of interest requested by Oak Ridge Associated University (ORAU).
Provide technical support to the NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) Radiation Dose Reconstruction Project.
Act as a qualified Derivative Classifier to review records and address classification matters.
Review records for other information protection requirements as outlined in SBMS and IRO procedures and standards.
