About The Position

UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, defend their rights, and help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence. UNICEF is a place where careers are built, offering diverse opportunities for professional and personal development. UNICEF Lebanon supports the Government of Lebanon and partners to ensure that vulnerable populations, particularly children, have equitable access to essential services and protection. The WASH Programme and WASH Sector Coordination Team support the delivery and coordination of water, sanitation, and hygiene interventions across Lebanon. Information management is a critical enabling function that supports evidence-based decision-making, operational coordination, emergency response, partner accountability, monitoring, reporting, and resource mobilization. The Information Management Assistant contributes to these objectives by managing sector information systems, ensuring the quality and timeliness of partner reporting, producing analytical products and visualizations, supporting mapping and data analysis, and strengthening information management processes. The position serves as a key focal point for information management systems and processes, enabling UNICEF, government counterparts, donors, and sector partners to effectively monitor needs, track responses, identify gaps, and prioritize interventions. The position is accountable for maintaining information management systems and databases, ensuring the quality and integrity of sector data, supporting partner reporting processes, producing analytical products and dashboards, conducting data and GIS analysis, and developing information products that support operational and strategic decision-making. The role also contributes to strengthening information management capacity, improving data quality and reporting compliance, and supporting the WASH Sector's transition and localization objectives through knowledge management and sustainable information management practices.
