About The Position

As a member of the Information Lifecycle Governance (ILG) team within the Information Protection division of Information Security, this role plays a critical part in advancing the Bank’s enterprise-wide records management strategy. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies and processes that govern the classification, retention, and disposition of information assets. This position requires a strong understanding of records management principles, including the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles, and the ability to apply them in a complex, regulated environment. The role demands strategic thinking, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the Bank’s information governance practices align with legal, regulatory, and business requirements. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to business units, promoting compliance, and driving adoption of modern records management technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in RIM, ILG, IG, DG, or technical compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Purview (Data Lifecycle Management, Records Management, eDiscovery).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise information management, risk mitigation, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage, and prioritize, multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
  • 5+ years of experience in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, government, professional services).

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications (IGP, CRM, CIPP, PMP) preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of periodic updates to the Bank’s Corporate Records Retention Schedule.
  • Assist with development of program related processes and procedures required to ensure enterprise-wide classification, retention and defensible disposition of Bank records and information, aligned with industry best practices.
  • Contribute to training and education initiatives related to records management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Sourcing, and Audit to implement governance practices.
  • Serve as point of contract for enterprise-wide guidance on records management policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Promote ILG awareness through effective communication and technical leadership.
  • Work with program leaders to implement records management policies within the Microsoft Purview platform.
  • Act as primary contact for the development of the Record Steward program.
  • Provide ongoing support to business units for daily operations, special projects and record-related initiatives.
  • Manage and administer the off-site records system (FileBRIDGE), including user management and destruction activities.
  • Partner with all lines of business to remediate records processes and ensure compliance.
  • Respond to inquiries via the records retention inbox and ServiceNow.
