About The Position
McDermott Will & Schulte is a leading global law firm seeking an Information Governance Risk & Compliance Attorney. This role involves reviewing and transferring client data related to attorney departures, leveraging eDiscovery and data management tools to protect client privileges and firm proprietary data. The position requires extensive data management experience to facilitate efficient attorney transitions while safeguarding relationships with departing attorneys.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree
- At least five (5) years of related work experience
- Advanced knowledge of eDiscovery and data management tools and best practices
- Extensive experience utilizing Relativity as an end user to review and code documents
- Direct experience applying artificial intelligence and analytics tools to manage, evaluate, and review data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to recognize and protect client privileges, firm proprietary information, intellectual property, and other sensitive data
- Prior professional experience ensuring all confidential information is appropriately protected
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilities
Nice To Haves
- Ideally, direct experience utilizing Relativity as an administrator
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of strategic workflows to review attorney communications and work product
- Assist with drafting client transfer protocols and communications
- Maintain thorough documentation of the review of client data and transfer process
- Participate in the research of emerging technologies and identify enhanced tools to execute the review process
- Prepare data in Relativity for review, including running search terms and setting up reviews
- Automate review processes where appropriate using advanced technologies
- Ensure quality and consistency
- Manage departing attorney expectations regarding transfer timelines
