About The Position

Peraton is seeking an Information Assurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a critical National Security program. This role involves responding to congressional inquiries on Cybersecurity issues, translating cybersecurity needs into technical solutions, and developing and maintaining Cybersecurity Architecture documentation. The SME will analyze cybersecurity best practices, contribute to policies, and develop baseline security requirements for enterprise services. Responsibilities include critical path analysis, risk analysis, and developing security requirements for foundational technical documents. The role also involves assisting with the Authority to Operate (ATO) process, assessing program ATO readiness, providing security guidance, diagramming ICAM architecture, defining ATO integration expectations, and ensuring system integrability with Service Providers. The SME will act as the primary Cybersecurity point of contact for the customer and may be required to assist in non-Cybersecurity areas. Familiarity with Microelectronics and a firm understanding of Cybersecurity requirements across the Intelligence Community (IC) are essential.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BA/BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience, OR Masters and 10 years of experience, OR Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. (An additional four years of experience can be accepted in lieu of a BA/BS degree)
  • Experience in cybersecurity responsibility areas listed above
  • Detail-oriented, ability to consistently provide high-quality products that are concise, thorough, and accurate
  • Ability to adapt in response to shifts in customer priorities
  • Expert knowledge in ATO process
  • Experience partnering across the IC
  • Experience in Risk Management
  • Familiarity with Microelectronics
  • Firm understanding of the Cybersecurity requirements across the IC

Responsibilities

  • Respond to congressional inquiries on Cybersecurity issues
  • Translate cybersecurity needs and capabilities into requirements and detailed technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain a list of Cybersecurity Architecture needs, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Analyze cybersecurity best practices to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Contribute meaningful input to Cybersecurity policies
  • Develop and publish baseline security requirements for common enterprise services
  • Conduct critical path analysis, risk analysis, and task dependency analysis
  • Develop security requirements and constraints for foundational technical documents
  • Assist with the Authority to Operate (ATO) process
  • Assess program ability to attain an ATO
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for Security related issues
  • Diagram an interim and future architecture for ICAM implementation
  • Define/communicate ATO integration expectations for all IT services
  • Work with Service Providers to ensure systems are integrate-able
  • Act as the SME for all Cybersecurity questions and concerns for the customer
  • Assist in areas outside of Cybersecurity as necessary
