About The Position

UnityTec is seeking an Information Assurance (IA) Security Engineer to join our team. You will deliver comprehensive security engineering and analytical support to resolve specialized information assurance (IA) challenges throughout the system lifecycle. By integrating systematic methodologies and analyzing stringent security requirements, you will optimize workflows and secure information systems from initial planning through final integration and testing. This position will be located in Columbus, OH and will require travel.

Requirements

Certified Trellix IPS manager -OR- certified Check Point IPS Blade.
A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant IT experience.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience creating customized signatures using SNORT.
Highly proficient in Cyber Defense Infrastructure -AND- Network Operations Specialist
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must possess a DoD current Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study.
Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570/8140 IAT level III.
Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570/8140 CND-IS.

Responsibilities

Executing targeted project tasks to systematically resolve complex, total-system technology challenges directly tied to specialized IA requirements.
Providing dedicated security engineering expertise across all phases of information system development, encompassing planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and final system integration.
Rigorously evaluating and translating complex information security requirements to ensure system compliance and a robust defensive posture.
Applying methodical, analytical approaches to integrate electronic processes, streamline organizational planning, and resolve operational or workflow inefficiencies within system architectures.
