About The Position

The Information Assurance / Cybersecurity supports the customer by performing assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. Must be able to apply extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results. Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Requirements

  • The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the DoD Secret level.
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three to ten (3-10) years of experience in systems security, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the RMF process, including generating artifacts for eMASS to obtain and maintain Authorities to Operate (ATO).
  • Monitors IAVAs and STIG compliance for virtual reality simulators. Provides technical justifications to the Authorizing Official (AO) when security updates might negatively impact simulator performance/fidelity.
  • Conducts vulnerability scans and independent assessments of simulator software code to integrate required security characteristics into the performance objectives.
  • Assists in the engineering of secure interfaces between virtual training environments and tactical logistics networks.
