About The Position

The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) is seeking an Informatica PowerCenter Developer/Admin with experience in SQL, data warehouse, data conversion/modeling/migration, EDI, PostgreSQL, and healthcare/exchange/ACA. This role involves designing, developing, automating, supporting, and performance tuning ETL solutions using Informatica. The candidate will also develop SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions, architect ETL solutions for integrating disparate systems, and create data mapping and modeling for data migrations. The position requires adherence to security, change control, and MHBE Project Management Office (PMO) policies. The candidate must be flexible to work overtime as needed, including weekends, holidays, and off-hours. MHBE administers Maryland Health Connection (MHC), the state's health insurance marketplace, helping Maryland residents explore health insurance plans, compare rates, and determine eligibility for various assistance programs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in enterprise application development.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) design, development, performance tuning, monitoring, and supporting using Informatica.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in creating complex and efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in ETL platform administration and integration for performance monitoring and analysis.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a database or reports developer utilizing SQL.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining reporting databases and data warehouses.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple critical priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with healthcare/exchange/ACA.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing Informatica Mappings, Work-flows, and processes.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of hands-on experience using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in developing ETL solutions and data conversion strategies of disparate systems and creating data mapping and modeling for data migrations.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in ETL design, development, performance tuning, monitoring, and supporting using Informatica.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in creating complex and efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of ETL-related experience supporting health exchange, health care EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), or Health and Human Services applications.
  • Experience in analyzing, converting, and transforming EDI transaction sets such as the 834 and 999 IRS datasets, such as the H36, H41, 1095-A, 1095-B, and SBMI.
  • Knowledge of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) eligibility rules.
  • Experience with data quality assurance, quality control, and large-scale Healthcare IT Systems data compliance processes.
  • Experience working with the Project Management Office (PMO) processes, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, automate, support, and monitor performance tuning using Informatica.
  • Develop stored procedures, triggers, and functions in SQL in PostgreSQL or other databases.
  • Architect Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) solutions and data conversion strategies for integrating disparate systems.
  • Create data mapping and modeling for data migrations.
  • Create an end-to-end solution for ETL transformation jobs that involve writing Informatica workflows and mappings, SQL procedures, and functions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Informatica Mappings, Work-flows, and processes.
  • Adhere to all security, change control, and MHBE Project Management Office (PMO) policies, processes, and methodologies.
