About The Position
This position is for an Informatica ETL/Data Engineer in Austin, TX, with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days remote and 3 days onsite (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). The role involves understanding business objectives, analyzing user requirements, and designing/developing enterprise data integration solutions. The engineer will automate processes, improve existing computer systems, and write detailed descriptions of user needs and program functions. They will also review computer system capabilities and limitations to ensure requested programs or changes are feasible. The position requires extensive experience in Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ETL workflows, data ingestion, production support, Snowflake, source-to-target mapping, data quality management, performance optimization, and batch job scheduling within large enterprise environments. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with experience in structured SDLC environments and collaboration with stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions.
- Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ETL workflows, data ingestion from diverse source systems, and production support.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Informatica Power center, source-to-target mapping, data quality management, performance optimization, and batch job scheduling in large enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience working in structured SDLC environments.
- Experience as a Data Engineer/Systems Analyst designing, developing, and supporting data integration solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, including mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
Responsibilities
- Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system.
- Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports.
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
- Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

- Developing and maintaining ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, including mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
