About The Position

AVER is seeking an Informatica Developer to support the design, development, testing, and implementation of a technical solution that extracts data from hundreds of source tables, separates the data by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Component, and loads it into a target data schema. The work is part of a larger implementation of a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for a complex Financial Systems Modernization (FSM) program. The developer will work with cross-functional teams, data owners, analysts, and the Lead Informatica Developer to understand requirements and develop extraction and loading strategies. The role includes SQL development and analysis in AWS Postgres, data visualization with Power BI, data validation and reconciliation, and preparation and support of unit and end-to-end integration migration test plans. The position also supports requirements development, data analysis, and preparation for data conversion activities. The role is based in Washington, DC, and is remote, with ad hoc on-site work potentially required per client. The position supports a government agency and requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in SQL, data extraction, separation, loading, migration, analysis, and conversion activities.
At least 3 years of experience using Informatica PowerCenter.
At least 3 years of experience using Informatica Developer.
Experience with SQL Server programming language.
Experience with data visualization using Power BI.
Experience working in a PostgreSQL database environment.
Experience using Power BI and SQL to run queries and perform analysis.
Experience working with government systems, such as SharePoint and ServiceNow, and with stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience supporting Federal government customers.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust government clearance.
U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of experience using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
Experience supporting Federal SAP S/4HANA business application development and data migration using a requirements-driven lifecycle process.

Responsibilities

Extract and load data using complex programming languages and Informatica.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and support requirements sessions.
Develop SQL queries in an AWS Postgres database.
Work with the Lead Informatica Developer to develop extraction and load strategies.
Work with analysts to ensure requirements are clarified and ready for development.
Create data visualizations using Power BI.
Apply Agile methodology and use Jira.
Coordinate with data owners to validate data, including reconciling transaction details to summary records such as commitments and obligations to General Ledger balances.
Prepare and assist with unit and end-to-end integration migration test plans, including testing data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation.
Support requirements development, perform data analysis, and prepare data for conversion activities.
