About The Position

In a learning environment and under close supervision, this role assists various IT teams with first-level issue resolution and works in a supporting role on projects. Areas of involvement include service center, networking, interfaces, server administration, biomedical engineering, database management, data analysis, cybersecurity, scripting/development, endpoint lifecycle management, and a wide array of applications. The position also participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities, complies with safety and infection control standards, and performs all job duties in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior. Work is performed under the close supervision of the IT Director or designee, who reviews work to ensure effectiveness.

Requirements

• Demonstrated working knowledge of current Windows OS and PC troubleshooting procedures.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to communicate in a business appropriate way verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with Medical Center staff, physicians, and the general public.

Nice To Haves

• Current or previous enrollment in Genesee Career Institute Information Technology program or similar career preparatory academy.
• Graduated or current enrollment in an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
• Current industry recognized certification such as Comptia A+, Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the designated IT team to assist with departmental projects.
• Perform PC troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve common problems.
• Setup and install PCs and required software.
• Provide assistance to IT teams to resolve or assist in the resolution of problems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Utilize new improvements and/or technologies that relate to job assignment.
