About The Position

Sun Country Airlines is seeking an Inflight Business Manager to serve as a strategic business partner to the Vice President of Inflight, providing operational, financial, and analytical leadership to support department and company objectives. This role owns key inflight business processes, drives cross functional initiatives, ensures labor agreement compliance, and leads data driven decision support for inflight operations. The position influences operational strategy through performance analysis, technology enablement, and continuous improvement initiatives, partnering closely with HR, Labor Relations, Operations, IT, and Union leadership. The Inflight Business Manager plays a critical role in advancing operational efficiency, readiness, and organizational effectiveness across the Inflight organization. This role has department wide impact and regularly influences operational, labor, and technology decisions affecting Inflight employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a same or similar role in aviation
  • AIMS or other Crew Scheduling software experience
  • Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal presentation and written communication
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause identification and corrective action planning.
  • Excellent PC skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Electronic forms and recordkeeping experience
  • Ability to evaluate programs and processes for efficiency and improvements.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including some nights and weekends, and travel as needed for training events or to complete assigned duties.
  • Ability to complete the company's Initial Flight Attendant Training Program/IOE and hold an FAA Flight Attendant certificate.
  • Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check and a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Inflight Leadership, translating operational priorities into actionable business plans and performance insights.
  • Own and manage key inflight business programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company strategy, labor agreements, and operational requirements.
  • Lead the development, governance, and maintenance of internal department SOPs.
  • Partner with Labor Relations to interpret, apply, and monitor Collective Bargaining Agreement provisions impacting Inflight operations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and executive level reporting to support data driven decision making.
  • Act as the primary Inflight liaison for technology initiatives, collaborating with IT, vendors, and operational stakeholders to support system testing, implementation, and adoption.
  • Prepare Inflight presentations, business cases, and briefings for senior leadership.
  • Represent the Inflight organization in cross‑functional forums, influencing outcomes that impact safety, service, cost, and employee experience.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities; develop recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Support Inflight Department Emergency Response Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Inflight consistent with the scope and intent of the role.
