About The Position

Pettus Automotive DeSoto is a locally owned, community focused Automotive dealership group serving DeSoto and surrounding Southeast Missouri communities. We are seeking a Finance Manager who understands that this role is not just about approvals and paperwork. It is about leadership, communication, and owning the entire financial experience for the customer. This position requires someone who can build trust, communicate clearly, and operate with discipline. The right candidate understands that structure, consistency, and professionalism drive results, not pressure. This is not a passive role. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass background check

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive finance experience is helpful, but not required. We will train the right person. What matters most is mindset, discipline, and the ability to connect with people while maintaining a high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Build trust with customers during the final stages of the buying process
  • Clearly present financing options and protection products in a professional, transparent manner
  • Structure deals that align with lender guidelines and customer needs
  • Ensure all contracts and paperwork are accurate and compliant
  • Work closely with the sales team to maintain deal flow and efficiency
  • Maintain strong relationships with lenders and approval sources
  • Handle funding and follow up to ensure deals are completed correctly
  • Be available when the business demands it, including evenings and weekends
