About The Position
Hartford HealthCare Medical Group (HHCMG) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join their highly collaborative and growing Infectious Disease team at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a statewide Infectious Disease program with more than 25 Infectious Disease specialists working together across Hartford HealthCare's integrated network. The role offers a diverse clinical practice, academic involvement, and the resources of Connecticut's largest healthcare system, all while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Infectious Disease Physician
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of CT

- Academic appointments are available through Quinnipiac University and University of Connecticut
Responsibilities
- Inpatient Infectious Disease consultations at Hartford Hospital
- Outpatient practice with opportunities to care for HIV and Hepatitis C patients
- Participate in Antimicrobial Stewardship initiatives
- Collaborating with Infection Prevention, Hospital Epidemiology, and Quality teams
- Shared call coverage with experienced Infectious Disease colleagues
- No primary care responsibilities
- Dedicated Hospitalist program manages inpatient admissions
- Opportunities to teach medical students, residents and fellows
