About The Position
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for the Infection Prevention and Control (IPCP), Antibiotic Stewardship (ASP), and Restorative Nursing programs. This role involves providing education, surveillance, outbreak investigation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Primary training in nursing/medical technology/microbiology/epidemiology; RN preferred with IP experience.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year RN with infection prevention/control experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance and outbreak investigations.
- Develop policies, training, and action plans.
- Educate staff/residents/families; monitor documentation.
- Maintain immunizations/TB screening records.
- Participate in QAPI and required reporting.
