About The Position
Mountain Vista Skilled Nursing is hiring a Part-Time Infection Preventionist to lead and support infection control practices within our community. Requirements
- Active RN or LPN license required
- At least 1 year of experience in an Infection Preventionist or infection control role
- Strong understanding of infection prevention standards and regulations
- Ability to educate and influence staff practices
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the infection prevention and control program
- Monitor infection trends and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility infection control standards
- Coordinate immunization tracking and verification
- Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to support safe clinical operations
- Interpret clinical and laboratory information related to infection control
- Support campus-wide infection prevention initiatives as needed
