About The Position
The Infection Preventionist (IP) is a registered professional nurse (RN) responsible for supporting infection prevention initiatives and ensuring compliance with established protocols within the healthcare setting.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in infection prevention and control preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hospital surveillance to identify healthcare-associated infections and ensure accurate public reporting of mandated data.
- Assist in the development and implementation of infection prevention policies and procedures across the organization.
- Provide education and training to patients and healthcare team members on infection prevention practices.
- Perform routine audits and site visits to various departments to monitor adherence to infection prevention practices, including cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization processes.
- Support infection prevention activities related to construction and renovation projects within the facility.
