About The Position

This role is crucial in developing, directing, and monitoring the facility's infection prevention and control program to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state.
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
Nice To Haves
- Infection control experience.
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment.
- Experience with PointClickCare.
Responsibilities
- Develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program.
- Ensure the facility is in compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Make rounds of nursing units to review environmental sanitation procedures.
- Analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing.
- Prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission.
- Meet with staff, residents, and family members to explain precautions.
- Ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed.
