About The Position

The Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for the Infection Prevention and Control Program, developed to control the spread of infections and/or outbreaks. Track and monitor transmissible diseases and notify local, state and federal authorities about reportable diseases as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in applicable field or higher is required.
• 3 years or more experience in healthcare field
• Certification in Infection Control preferred, required within 3 years & maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Conducts infection surveillance and reporting
• Maintains NHSN reporting and regulatory compliance
• Monitors hand hygiene and infection prevention practices
• Develops and updates infection prevention policies
