About The Position
Ovation Communities is seeking an Infection Prevention RN (IPRN) who will be responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare associated infections. The IPRN collaborates with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback and sustain infection prevention strategies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid Wisconsin RN licensure
- At least two (2) years of experience as an infection control RN, preferably in a long-term care facility
- Experience in epidemiology and public health
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Proficient in Excel and other analytical tools
- Excellent communicator.
- Able to read, write and comprehend the English language
Nice To Haves
- Infection Control and Epidemiology certification (CIC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular assessments of the facility to identify and mitigate potential infection control risks.
- Train staff on proper infection control techniques and protocols.
- Monitor and report on incidents and trends of infections.
- Monitor compliance with hygiene practices; develop programs to educate staff.
- Investigate and respond to reports of infections.
