About The Position
UCI Health is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Infection Prevention Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of the Clinical Informatics and Analytics team in the Epidemiology and Infection Prevention department at UCI Health – Orange/Irvine. This is a critical leadership role that will provide direct support to the infection prevention team with a focus on innovation, operationalizing evidence-based practice, and developing scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Strong knowledge of all relevant healthcare information technology and infection control workflows and processes.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a management or leadership role within a hospital or health care organization
- Five years experience in a healthcare or public health setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office applications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, or related area, and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Clinical Informatics and Analytics team with problem-solving leadership and ensure effective and efficient daily operations.
- Demonstrate expertise in aligning electronic medical record workflows, analytics, and third-party systems to support the translation of infection prevention best practices into technology-enabled solutions that support patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and support a highly skilled and collaborative team, fostering professional growth.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to prioritize and balance competing initiatives.
