About The Position
The Infection Prevention (IP) Director is responsible for the Infection Prevention Program within the CoxHealth scope of service as outlined in the Infection Prevention Plan. The program is designed to protect the overall health of patients, families, visitors, staff (paid or volunteer) and physicians who visit or work in one of our CoxHealth locations. The IP Director is responsible for direct oversight of the Infection Prevention Services Department and all epidemiological activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Epidemiology, or Public Health
- 3-5 years’ experience in Healthcare
- Registered Nurse active in the state of Missouri
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree or higher in leadership or Healthcare administration
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- 3-5 years' experience in Infection Prevention
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
Responsibilities
- Direct oversight of the Infection Prevention Services Department and all epidemiological activities.
- Developing and implementing the Infection Prevention Program.
- Protecting the overall health of patients, families, visitors, staff, and physicians.
