The Infection Control Preventionist is trained in hospital epidemiology principles and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of hospital acquired infections (HAI); educating employees about infection control prevention; and the development of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection control standards that meet TJC, OSHA, CMS, CDC/NHSN, California statutes and other nationally organized recommendations and requirements. This position requires completion of an Infection Control Program training and CIC. This position is required to be on-call.
