About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Infection Control Nurse (LPN) to join their team at Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green, Missouri. This role is responsible for preventing and controlling infectious diseases by collecting, interpreting, and reporting data, assisting in developing care plans for patients with infectious diseases, and consulting with healthcare professionals on patient care, tracking, and reporting related to infectious diseases.

Requirements

Missouri or Compact Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
Must be IV certified
Must show current tuberculosis screening documentation and active Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
1 to 3 years’ experience providing nursing care in a public health environment, long term care or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
Experience in correctional environment preferred

Responsibilities

Performing a variety of duties involving the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
Coordinating the collecting, interpreting, and reporting of data.
Assisting in the development of care plans for patients with infectious diseases.
Serving as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.
