About The Position
Child Start is actively recruiting for multiple openings in our early Head Start classrooms serving children ages 0-3, with positions available across Sedgwick county. These are full-time career opportunities for dedicated, early childhood professionals. Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In compliance with KDHE requirements, Child Start will request proof of measles (MMR) vaccination or documented immunity during the employment process. Must be able to commute daily to Wichita, KS.
Requirements
- Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), (we have scholarships available to help with CDA completion)
- Relevant experience working with infants and toddlers.
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
- In compliance with KDHE requirements, Child Start will request proof of measles (MMR) vaccination or documented immunity during the employment process.
- Must be able to commute daily to Wichita, KS.
Responsibilities
- Encourage children to try new learning activities.
- Assess each child’s development initially and update assessments throughout the school year.
- Review the curriculum continually and write weekly lesson plans that incorporate all areas of child development (social/emotional development, physical and cognitive language development).
