About The Position

As an Infant Toddler Teacher you will help with the development, implementation, and supervision of center-based activities for infants and toddlers. In this position you will also establish and maintain a relationship of trust with Early Head Start families, work with families and staff to ensure comprehensive services, and help with the maintenance of a safe learning environment.

Requirements

  • California Teacher Permit.
  • Formal training in early care and education.
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers in an educational setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with staff, infants and toddlers, parents and families.
  • Ability to be flexible, open-minded, follow directions, and follow/implement plans.
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with cleaning/sanitizing chemicals.
  • Possess a telephone or other means of immediate communication.
  • As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
  • Current/former UC employees are subject to a personnel file review.

Nice To Haves

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential obtained within one year.
  • AA and BA in Child Development preferred.

Responsibilities
