About The Position

Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Educators lay the foundation for lifelong learning by creating safe, nurturing, and enriching environments where children’s curiosity, confidence, and development can thrive. This role is ideal for a caring, energetic, and dedicated Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Educator who is passionate about supporting infants and toddlers during their earliest stages of development while building meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • British Columbia Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Infant/Toddler Certificate (required).
  • Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR level B or C
  • Minimum age of 19 years, in accordance with provincial childcare licensing requirements.
  • Knowledge of BC childcare licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and inclusive, child-centered practices, supported by strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports the healthy development and well-being of infants and toddlers.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, and early childhood development.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support each child’s growth and sense of belonging.
  • Support individual developmental milestones by adapting care and learning experiences to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with families and colleagues to promote consistent, inclusive, and high-quality early learning experiences.
  • Maintain a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all children and families feel respected and valued.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children by upholding licensing requirements and best practices in child care.
  • Guide children’s social-emotional development using positive, child-centered approaches that encourage independence and self-regulation.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture dedicated to excellence in early childhood education and family support.
