This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in March/April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period. The Infant Toddler Aide assists the Infant Toddler Teacher with planning and conducting a classroom instructional curriculum and activities for assigned children, encouraging growth in language, social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and communication skills. Responsibilities include assisting in daily health checks, developmental screenings, and implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). The role involves monitoring children's progress, supervising classroom activities in the teacher's absence, and maintaining clear, consistent, and age-appropriate rules and expectations. The aide may also perform duties of a bus monitor once trained and must be able to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure. Maintaining confidentiality of client information and adhering to agency policies, procedures, safety practices, and Head Start Performance Standards are essential.
