About The Position
The Learning Experience - Ramsey is seeking a nurturing, dependable Infant Teacher for its Infant B classroom. The role provides responsive care for infants and supports their growth and development in a safe, loving, and engaging learning environment. Teachers follow the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, maintain classroom safety and cleanliness, document developmental milestones, and build relationships with families and colleagues. The position pays $18 per hour and follows a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Previous professional childcare, daycare, or early childhood education experience preferred.
- Infant classroom experience strongly preferred.
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, responsive care for infants in the Infant B classroom.
- Support feeding, diapering, naps, and other daily care routines.
- Follow safe sleep practices and maintain a clean, safe classroom.
- Engage infants through sensory play, music, movement, language, and exploration.
- Implement age-appropriate activities from The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
- Encourage early communication, motor skills, and social-emotional development.
- Observe and document developmental milestones.
- Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and center leadership.
- Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
