About The Position
The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is seeking a caring and experienced Infant Teacher to support children during their earliest stages of development. This role focuses on creating a nurturing classroom environment where infants build secure relationships and early communication skills through responsive caregiving and sensory exploration.
Requirements
- BA or AA in Early Childhood Education preferred, CDA accepted
- Candidates with 5+ years of classroom experience and high school diploma considered
- Prior infant classroom experience preferred
- Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices
- Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Support daily routines for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and nap supervision
- Implement developmentally appropriate sensory learning activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Observe and support developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with families regarding routines and progress
- Follow New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
