About The Position

Magical Beginnings, an award-winning collection of Early Childhood Education Centers in Massachusetts, is hiring a Classroom Teacher for its Infant wing. This role focuses on the needs and development of infants from six weeks to fifteen months of age. The ideal candidate is a creative, positive, and compassionate team player dedicated to providing top-notch childcare and collaborating with colleagues. A nurturing demeanor and a love for infants and their development are essential.

Requirements

  • EEC Infant/Toddler Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience
  • Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within operating hours, including opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
  • Keeping parents informed via the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
  • Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
  • Encouraging children's participation through age-appropriate interactive activities.
  • Maintaining classroom cleanliness, including routine opening/closing tasks, wiping down toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, and trash removal.
  • Engaging with students in free play, supervising during outdoor time, assisting with bathroom needs and diapering, bottle and meal assistance, and naptime supervision.
  • Adhering to infants' individual feeding and sleeping schedules.
  • Tracking children's progress and completing assessments.
  • Maintaining EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
  • Attending monthly staff meetings.
  • Creating a fun and safe learning environment for students.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
