About The Position
We're excited to open The Learning Experience in Bastrop, TX, and are looking for a caring, energetic, and experienced Infant Teacher to join our team! At The Learning Experience, you can have the opportunity to create a positive and engaging learning environment for preschool children, where "happy happens here" is not just a motto but a way of life. We are looking for a preschool teacher committed to helping children learn, play, grow, and thrive and providing the tools they need to succeed academically and emotionally. As an Infant Teacher, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, loving, and engaging classroom where our youngest learners can grow, explore, and thrive.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with infants
- Genuine love for working with babies and supporting early childhood development.
- Patience, reliability, and strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and center leadership.
- Have one year of professional teaching experience (preferred) or six months of professional teaching experience (required)?
- High school diploma/GED (required)?
Nice To Haves
- Have an associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree (preferred)?
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and supporting daily routines.
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support early development, sensory exploration, and motor skills.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families.
- Communicate with parents about their child's daily activities, milestones, and progress.
- Maintain accurate daily records, including feeding, diaper changes, naps, and developmental observations.
- Follow Texas childcare licensing requirements and all center health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with other teachers and center leadership to create a supportive, team-oriented environment.
- Be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children.
- Build relationships with families and colleagues, creating a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
- Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through various avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
