Responsible for the preparation, delivery and proper storage of human milk and infant formula. Utilizes computerized inventory system and escalates any issues to leadership. Follows food safety guidelines in milk room as well as maintaining stock of preparation supplies. Monitors temperature and function of each freezer and refrigerator in the milk room and reports concerns to leadership. Monitors inventory of patient specific milk deposits. Collect breast milk, ensures proper labeling and storage. Reviews infant feeding orders and clarifies them with the patient care team. Accurately calculates human milk and formula additives based on order and mixes appropriately.
