About The Position

A kind couple based on the Upper East Side is seeking a knowledgeable and supportive part-time nanny for their baby born in April to start in August. The schedule will be 3 days per week, 5 hours per day for 15 hours total per week. They are open to any 3 days, Monday through Thursday, as long as the days are consistent each week. Optional additional hours would be available if desired, staying later for a weeknight date night.

Requirements

Comfortable with a small friendly hypoallergenic dog
Minimum of at least 5 years' verifiable experience working with infants including newborns
US passport, Green Card or EAC
Up to date on Tdap and MMR vaccinations or willing to update

Nice To Haves

An easygoing and warm attitude and be able to strike a balance between providing suggestions to parents and following their lead
Organized and tidy
Happy to work as a team with a stay-at-home mother; some days will be more childcare focused and some days will be more household help

Responsibilities

Full infant care including: Changing diapers; restocking the changing area with diapers/wipes
Baby Laundry - wash, fold, put away
Feeding baby and preparing bottles; helping with introducing solids and making purees as the baby gets older
Cleaning, sanitizing, and prepping bottles/baby items
Developmentally appropriate play and interaction including singing and reading
Maintain feeding and sleeping schedule
Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care, while respecting the family’s personal preferences
